I wish we said “fancy” in America. As in, “I fancy you.” It’s such a more agreeable term than “I have a crush on you.” What’s a crush? Like, I AM A BOA CONSTRICTOR AND I AM GOING TO IMMOBILIZE YOU WITH MY MISPLACED AND OBSESSIVE AFFECTION. “I fancy you” is like, you’re so shiny and glittery and I just want to put you on a shelf and look at you for a while ‘cause you’re fancy.

This was done at the Plymouth Tattoo Convention 2012 by Mike Webster of Shoreline Tattoo.
Where the Wild Things Are is one of my favourite books, and I absolutely adored it as a child. I’ve wanted a tattoo of for a few years, I was holding it off due to fears of having it not done correctly or - even worse - badly.
After checking out each artists work at the convention, I scaled my list of artists down to two, and decided to go with my gut-feeling, in which I choose Mike. He’s done such a fantastic job.
